PHINISI SPIRIT … EASY ON THE BUDGET

On board Lady Denok, you can always find somewhere cosy to relax & enjoy the panoramic vistas of Indonesia.  On the deck areas you’ll find covered areas as well as sun deck with comfortable padded lounge chairs & reclining chairs … and on that long bow area on the main deck, you’ll even find the traditional Indonesian exterior bed where you can snooze, read, enjoy cold drinks and watch the spectacular scenery slipping past as you sail,  Inside, there’s a combination lounge / dining area air-conditioning, TV, CD/DVD entertainment centre, sound system/ipod connection as well as a library and indoor games.

European and Indonesian cuisine is prepared by the chef on-board and served buffet style in the dining area of the lounge or, alternatively, you can also choose to dine on deck with the island views as a backdrop. Tempting snacks are also served throughout the day to hungry divers.

Land excursions include visits to the famous Komodo Dragons (depending on current Park regulations) and exploring the volcanic islands and local fishing villages. Kayaking and snorkelling are also available.

ITINERARIES

Lady Denok concentrates largely on Komodo & Raja Ampat … the two most sought-after Indonesian destinations … but occasionally schedules trips to Moluku & Forgotten Islands.  Trips to specific regions are, of course, based on the best time of year to experience the region’s finest diving.  {slider See itinerary information ….. open |dest|closed} The two principle intineraries are:

Raja Ampat –  Indonesia’s shining underwater jewel, Raja Ampat has something of nearly everything a diver could want.  You’ll dive channels, plateaus, walls & caves … and just plain mud, for the delight of “muck” diving.  You’ll swim amongst great swirls of fish and feast your eyes on sponges & corals in scintillating colors. You’ll meet up close & personal, everything from pygmy seahorses to colossal manta rays.

Komodo – Perhaps the most diverse of all diving in the Indonesian archipelago.  There are seamounts, walls, canyons and pinnacles as well as the spectacular coral gardens.  There a hot spring at an underwater volcano, great night dives on black sand slopes with creepy, crawly critters.  Numerous sites tout pelagic fish, sharks & mantas but, be assured that at each dive site, you’ll experience something different. {/sliders}
