Located at the heart of the Coral Triangle, the area boasts vibrant coral reefs, dramatic underwater topography, and an incredible diversity of marine life. Divers can explore everything from gentle coral gardens teeming with macro critters to deep walls and pinnacles frequented by reef sharks, schools of barracuda, and manta rays.

Nearby sites such as Gorango Wall feature stunning drop-offs covered in soft corals, while sites like Batu Dua offer strong currents that attract pelagic species. With warm waters, excellent visibility, and minimal crowds, Metita provides a world-class diving experience in one of Indonesia’s precious untouched marine frontiers.

 

 

Beach Bungalows on the Ocean's Edge

Metita Resort offers two types of bungalows: Beach Bungalows and Garden Family Bungalows.

The Beach Bungalows are located just steps from the shoreline, offering uninterrupted ocean views and direct beach access. These bungalows allow guests to wake up to the sound of waves and enjoy breathtaking sunsets from their private terrace. The Garden Bungalows, set slightly inland among lush tropical greenery, provide a more secluded and tranquil atmosphere while still being only a short walk from the beach

Both bungalow types are designed with sustainability in mind, featuring natural materials, spacious interiors, en-suite bathrooms with fresh water, and open layouts that maximize airflow and connection to the island’s surroundings.

As of now there is a single scheduled flight coming from Ternate (TTE) to Morotai (OTI). That flight is on a Wednesday. Departure TTE around 12:00 – arrival in OTI around 13:00. Guests can catch this flight with connections from Jakarta or Manado.If you are not able to use the Wednesday flights, the resort can offer an overland transfer from Ternate (TTE) airport to Metita Island.
