The 42-meter (138-foot) Emperor Explorer sleeps 26 guests in 13 staterooms & has been operating since summer 2019.  Her itineraries include Central Atolls & Deep South Atolls.

ON BOARD EMPEROR EXPLORER

VAST DECK SPACES & A SPA TUB

Emperor Explorer is a lovely addition to the Emperor Maldives fleet.  She joined in 2019.  The top sundeck offers a bit of shade, but mostly sun, and can accommodate most everyone on board with her deck chairs and bean bags.  The upper deck stern is devoted to a mostly covered lounging space with comfortable seating. In front of the bridge on this deck you'll find a semi-circular, cushioned seating area plus sun loungers & a spa tub, which are convenient to the 4 main-deck staterooms. 

Moving to the main deck. stern end, you'll find the alfresco dining area where you'll often enjoy meals and the exquisite scenery at the same time. Inside is another spacious dining area and lounge with TV, DVD and sound system.  The onboard library and board games provide some non-screen entertainment.  Located at the bow end of the main deck are 2  staterooms which can be twin or double while on the lower deck you will find 7 additional staterooms.  All staterooms have small windows rather than portholes.

The meals on board are usually buffet style with a variety of local and International dishes to suit everyone.  Local food is traditionally a bit spicy, but international options will be available. A complimentary glass of wine is served with dinner.  During your cruise the crew will do their best to ensure you visit a local island for a BBQ under the stars.  For any special dietary requests please inform us when you book

ITINERARIES

Emperor Explorer will concentrate on the central atolls with her 7-day Best of Maldives trips which include (depending on the weather & currents) most of the following atolls: Rasdhoo Atoll, North & South Ari Atolls, Vaavu Atoll, North & South Male Atolls. In February of 2021 she has three Deep South shark itineraries scheduled, which should be incredible trips.

 TRAVEL & CRUISE LOGISTICS

Emperor Explorer will operate 7-day and 10-day trips focusing on dive sites further afield. All diving is done from her large dhoni (tender), giving more living space on board and getting you to the best dive spot every time. 

All transfers to/from the liveaboard on the check-in day (usually Saturday or Sunday) will be met at Male (Velana) International Airport by a representative,  Emperor arranged transfers depart from the airport to the boat at 11:00, 13:00 and 16:00 and are free of charge.  If your route does not start in Male and you require a domestic flight on arrival, you will be met by an Emperor Representative where possible and assisted with the check-in formalities for your flight.

Emperor Explorer moors in port on arrival day and overnight, departing early on the morning following the check-in day. The boat moors in port mid-afternoon the day before departure and remains in port overnight until check-out from the boat. Check out is at 07:00 on the last day of the cruise and guests will be in the airport by 07:30. For guests continuing their holiday in the Maldives at a resort, hotel or another liveaboard, your on-going transfers need to be arranged by you from the airport.
