Remote & worth it

Remote & worth it

Triton Bay Divers Resort sits at the very edge of the Coral Triangle, far away from crowds, schedules and noise. This remote beachfront hideaway in West Papua is made for divers who crave raw nature, untouched reefs and real exploration. Surrounded by jungle-covered islands and glass-clear water bursting with life, Triton Bay is not just a destination — it’s a reminder of what diving felt like before the world found it.

Away from the Crowds

The resort features eight thoughtfully designed bungalows — six beachfront and two garden view — blending natural materials with modern comforts in a relaxed, eco-friendly setting. Each bungalow includes a private bathroom with hot water shower, ceiling fan, and a desk with power sockets for charging dive gear or reviewing photos. Step onto your private terrace just meters from the ocean and settle into island life at its own pace.

All stays include full board dining, with three freshly prepared meals and a local afternoon snack served daily in the spacious open-air dining room. Designed to connect you with nature, the restaurant offers views of the beach and surrounding jungle, creating a laid-back space to unwind. Coffee, tea and drinking water are included.

The dive center is located at the far end of the beach and provides each guest with a personal storage area for dive equipment, kept securely throughout the stay. A dedicated camera room is also available, ensuring smooth and comfortable dive days for underwater photographers.

Hidden gem

Dive straight from the resort and experience why Triton Bay is considered one of Indonesia’s best-kept diving secrets. With 30 dive sites in close reach, the underwater world reveals lush soft coral landscapes, dense schools of reef fish and an extraordinary variety of critters — from pygmy seahorses to the occasional whale shark encounter. Whale shark excursions are offered as early morning trips to the local fishing platforms, where these gentle giants are often drawn by schools of baitfish. Declared a 6,000 sq km Marine Protected Area by Kaimana Regency in 2008, these waters remain remarkably untouched and continue to surprise with new discoveries on almost every dive.

Water temperatures vary between 28-30 degrees Celsius during the diving season and drop down to around 24 degrees during the eastern monsoon.
