Purpose Built For Discerning Divers

Gaia Love is a modern, steel-hulled vessel with a total of 4 decks which was purpose-built for exploring the Indonesian archipelago. The enormous top deck is fully dedicated to sun deck & shaded leisure areas and features a bar for a bit of chill time, perhaps under the stars. A full complement of furniture, from bean bags to loungers to deck chairs, padded benches & tables offer you every option you might desire. When weather permits, this is an ideal spot for alfresco dining.

The upper deck is devoted to the wheelhouse plus six luxurious rooms, each with sliding doors opening onto a small balcony where you can step out to enjoy the sea breeze. The rear of this deck hosts another outdoor, mostly covered seating area. On the main deck is the indoor air-conditioned restaurant and modern lounge with entertainment center and all the facilities to make you feel at home.

The lower deck offers the additional 5 large cabins..

At the rear of the main deck is a huge dive deck with loads of individual space and 11 large rinse tanks of various sizes. The boat deck is slightly aft of the dive deck where two 5.5 meter diving skiffs are at the ready providing easy boarding for divers. A state-of-the-art camera room makes photographers and videographers pampered.

Daily menus are usually either Asian fusion style … or an option of one international choice and one local choice. Meals are served at the table restaurant-style. You’ll also find an on-board massage service for that extra taste of luxury at the end of the dive day.

Itineraries

Itineraries include the most popular regions of Indonesia – Komodo, Raja Ampat, Forgotten Islands, Banda Sea,  Alor. Trips to specific regions are, of course, based on the best time of year to experience the region’s finest diving.

Komodo – Variety is the name of the game here. There are seamounts, walls, canyons and pinnacles as well as the spectacular coral gardens. There’s a hot spring at an underwater volcano, great night dives on black sand slopes. At each dive site, you’ll experience something different. Komodo is perhaps the most diverse of all diving in the Indonesian archipelago.

Raja Ampat – Indonesia’s shining underwater jewel, Raja Ampat has something of nearly everything a diver could want. You’ll dive channels, plateaus, walls & caves … and just plain mud, for the delight of “muck” diving. You’ll swim amongst great swirls of fish and feast your eyes on sponges & corals in scintillating colors. You’ll meet up close & personal, everything from pygmy seahorses to colossal manta rays.

Forgotten Islands – The dive sites vary greatly, with many presenting exciting pelagic encounters and large, swirling schools fish  … while others offer up weird and wonderful creatures hidden away in healthy, colorful corals.   You get, at one end of the scale: stargazers, stonefish, ghost pipefish … while at the opposite end jacks, giant trevallies, barracuda, hammerhead sharks, and on certain trips, divers are treated to a salt-water crocodile at one site!

Banda Sea & Alor – In Alor & the Banda Sea, you’ll find clear waters full of masses of fish & loads of invertebrates … plus alluring critters.  As to topography, you’ll find shear drops, huge pinnacles, great walls  … all covered with rich & thriving corals which attract diverse fish life.  Add to that, visiting pelagics and you have a magical mix.
