With two resorts, plus the lovely Atlantis Azores liveaboard, the Atlantis group can ensure that your stay in the Philippines will encompass variety in accommodation to match the variety of marine life you’ll encounter.
A beachfront restaurant and bar in a jungle setting will set the stage immediately for a peacful and relaxing getaway.
As at Puerto Galera, the guest rooms & suites set in a tropical garden. All rooms have air conditioning plus ceiling fans, eco-friendly solar-heated water, cable TV, mini-bars and coffee & tea facilities plus wireless internet connections and DVD players.
Photographers will be pleased to find a Multimedia Room equivalent to that found at Puerto Galera.
As to the diving itself, you can do 4 dives per day from the resorts boats at sites which are mainly within minutes of the dock, plus dusk and night dives are available every day.
Overall, the diving here is Critter Heaven. If you’re a macro photographer, this is right up there with the best: frogfish, cuttlefish, pygmy squid, nudibranchs, scorpionfish, lionfish, Moray eels and all sorts of crabs and shrimps here.
Sometimes you can see the more special critters here, like flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopus, Ambon scorpionfish and striated (Hairy) frogfish. There are also great night dives where you regularly find nocturnal stargazers and the extremely rare Bumblebee Shrimp!
There are, on the other hand, a few sites with big barracudas as well as schools of surgeonfish, fusiliers and yellow snapper plus large Spanish mackerel, dogtooth tuna snake eels and stingrays. It’s really just the tip of the iceberg ….
You’ll find both rebreather and technical diving available from the resort and you’ll be impressed by the terrific staff of dive guides and first-rate PADI education center with excellent facilities, should you wish to take advantage of any of the many courses they offer.
