LARGE, SOLID, STABLE FOR LONG CROSSINGS
Okeanos Aggressor I is a great way to make the 36 hour crossing to Cocos Island. You’ll find plenty to do during the journey to keep you occupied or totally relaxed, as you wish. For starters, you can enjoy the 40 feet of partially covered sundeck with chaise lounges which crowns the boat, perfect for recuperating after invigorating dives. Below that, on the upper deck, you’ll find even more deck space, at the bow and at the rear, where you find deck chairs, wet bar & grill . On this deck, you also find 3 very spacious staterooms. The main deck features a large salon with complete entertainment system, including iPod speaker system and a large assortment of films to choose from and a separate dining area … in addition to the roomy dive deck. On the lower deck are the remaining cabins.
Of course, you’ll find plenty of space for your gear and a complete photo center for photographers. Email is available onboard through the satellite system. There is a charge for incoming and outgoing email. Private calls may be made from the yacht. There is a cell tower in Wafer Bay with international reception while anchored during the charter.
Meals are served in the dining room. Menus are varied and include barbecues and local & international cuisine. For breakfast you’ll find fresh fruits, hot entrees, cereals and juices. Lunches are buffet-style and dinners include seafood, beef or chicken with homemade desserts to top off the meal. Soft drinks, ice tea, beer, and wine are complimentary.

ITINERARY

Cocos Island – 10-night sample itinerary
Day 1 – meet in front of host hotel. Transfer to Puntarenas for boarding and departure for Cocos Island.
Day 2-3 – arrive Cocos Island, diving begins.
Day 4-9 – diving days
Day 9-10 – travel back to Puntarenas.
Day 11 – check out at 7 am and transfer to San Jose Airport or host hotels.
Cocos Top Dive Sites
Alcyone
A 600’ long submerged mountain, the top of the mountain is 75’ from the surface. Schooling hammerheads, mantas and schooling fish. Possible sailfish or marlin.
Big Dos Amigos
This islet features a 45-foot-high arch and 60-foot pinnacle off the southeast side. Look for rainbow runners, yellowtail snapper, bigeye jacks and lobster. Hammerheads swim between the pinnacle and arch.
Bird Island, Chatham Bay
Dove from Chatham Bay, southeast of Manuelita, this site provides a variety of marine life including Frog Fish, lobsters, morays, rays, white tip sharks and hammerheads. There is even a cleaning station.
Dirty Rock
A large island with schools of marble rays and hammerheads.
Lone Stone
Schooling marble rays and mobula rays.
Manuelita
The northeast corner has asheer wall. Lots of White Tips, Marble Rays and schools of Creoles. Possible sightings: whale sharks, mating eagle rays, sail fish, mating white tip sharks, false killer whales.
Ubing Rock, Wafer Bay
This 300’ rock begins at 20’ and drops to a 110’ sandy bottom. The southeast slope attracts schooling hammerheads.

TRAVEL & CRUISE LOGISTICS
All yacht departures are from Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Guests need to arrive the day before the charter start date and overnight in San Jose, Costa Rica. You may choose to stay at one of the recommended host hotels (Holiday Inn Escazu or Holiday Inn Express Forum) or at another hotel of your choice. Please note that pick-ups for transfer to the boat are only from these two hotels. You will be met by an Aggressor representative on the day of departure at a pre-set time for the group transfer.
Boarding depends on the tide schedule. Immediately after boarding the yacht departs for its crossing to Cocos Island. The crossing takes roughly 36 hours and you can expect to arrive at the island around dawn on Day 3.
After a full seven days of diving, the Okeanos Aggressor II returns back to the dock in Puntarenas and you will be taken back to San Jose.
