The Red Sea is where I got started in the diving business in 1982 and although there are a few more vessels and divers since that time – it still offers superb world class diving with incredible corals, colorful reef fish and exciting pelagic encounters.

The Brothers Islands offers some of the most exciting diving of the Red Sea and we have two special trips aboard the Ghazala Voyager from Hurghada.

Beautifully appointed and a top professional crew, this program has a few spaces at 910 euros + permit fee of 60 euros pp. We have many options in the Red Sea but these would be a high recommendation.

Sardine Run – South Africa 2010

Most years, between May and July, millions & millions of sardines travel north from South Africa in what has become known as the Sardine Run.

Visible even by satellite, these famous sardine shoals are massive beyond belief, stretching kilometers in every direction. But, the experience is not only about the sardines. This mass migration draws predators galore, looking for an easy, free lunch!

Birds plummet from the sky, while ocean predators attack from below: a plethora of whales, bronze whalers & dolphins are all there herding the shoals of sardine into a "bait ball".
