Solitude One, a 52-meter (171 foot) steel-hulled merchant vessel, was transformed into a stunning diving yacht.   She is now offering 7 & 10 day programs diving the best of Palau.

"The transformation of this vessel from her life as the very popular but very basic, Big Blue, to her new incarnation as the luxurious Solitude One, has been an incredible success.   She now spends part of the year in Palau and part in the Philippines.  I haven't been out to visit her since her make-over, but I'm itching to go!  I understand she's a beauty."  ...   Dominick Macan

A new life for a classic vessel

Rebuilt from a 52-metre (171-foot) steel hulled merchant vessel, MV Solitude One underwent a complete makeover to become a luxury diving yacht with all the features you might design yourself.  The huge sun deck offers a partially covered area with enticing lounge chairs for your "lazing about" hours.  Just below on the upper (bridge) deck, you'll find the comfortable & inviting open-air dining area.  Walk to the forward deck for a soak in the Jacuzzi.  These two top decks are also great for spying dancing dolphins and breaching mantas or hanging out in the evenings to look at constellations in the night sky

On the main deck, you'll find a welcoming interior lounge & dining room with reading library and audio-video system, card & board games, plus coffee, tea and water which are available all day.  At the bow end of the boat on this deck are two large staterooms, while at the stern you find the substantial dive deck and boat deck space which can also be easily modified to reconfigure for major exploration expeditions.  The remaining cabins are all located on the lower deck.

In the redesign process, the digital darkroom was given as much consideration in the overall design of the vessel.  Occupying premium space on the 'A' deck and placed adjacent to the lounge, the space is designed for safely stowing camera and video equipment, for prepping, charging batteries and working on photos.  Computer terminals are available if you want to leave your laptop at home.

Solitude One provides internet access on board via Satellite using VSAT Services. To access the internet, you may pre-purchase data packages and log in via the WIFI Network Hotspot on board. (Access is, of course, subject to weather conditions and server issues).

Meals are carefully prepared, special needs are happily accommodated and the bar offers an excellent supply of spirits, wines and beers.

Solitude One spends part of the year in Palau (October through March) and part of the year in the Philippines (April through September).  In Palau, she offers the classic best of Palau trips plus some exciting deep-south exploratory trips.   Trips are 7 or 10 days.   .... see details
