EAGLE RAY |
|
The
Eagle
Ray
is a lovely 100 foot (30 meter) modern yacht
specially designed for the Maldives. She takes a maximum of 14 passengers

3 double & 4 twin air-conditioned, en suite, spacious

There's a big dining room serving buffet-style
meals, a lounge and full service bar, plus
stereo, TV, VCR, DVD, internet & library. All
crew members have at least 8 to 10 years of
experience.
Before dusk, the boat usually anchors near an
island or sandbank where you can decide between
a night dive, a visit to an uninhabited island
or relaxing onboard under the starlit sky.
The
Eagle Ray
has 3 different routes
which expose you to different elements of
Maldives diving, all of which allow you to
encounter the very best of the classic Maldives
- pinnacles, channels, corals, reef fish and big
animals.
The first 2 routes concentrate on different
regions of Central Maldives, while the 3rd route
takes you to the North atolls, particularly Baa
and Raa. All diving is
done
from a 15-foot support dhoni
(tender)
that also stores all your
diving equipment.

especially for diving and was refitted in 2008. There
are six cabins, four with a double berth and two
with upper and lower single berths.
All cabins are en-suite & all have porthole,
air-conditioning and fan. Guest cabins are
completely separate from the working sections of
the boat, for quiet and comfort.
You'll find a lovely large deck for relaxing in the
sun or shade, and a comfortable saloon with entertainment system. Underwater photographers
and videographers will find work tables & editing
facilities.
The
Sea Queen
crew is trained to accommodate changing weather
& sea conditions and guests' preferences, so
your itinerary is flexible.
Early in the year, you're likely to find her in
the Central Region or venturing north, for the
best diving season in the northern atolls.
Mid year, she is concentrates on the Far South,
exploring the exiting & less frequented
southern atolls. Then, late July, she
returns to the Central Region for Manta Ray
trips through December.
The experienced dive instructors
know where to take you in specific seasons, whether it is wreck
diving at Lhaviyani Atoll, manta sites at North Malé
Atoll or sharks in the southern atolls & you can
expect 3 - 4 dives per day.
All diving is done from
the 12-meter support boat with the main
compressor and diving equipment. Trip lengths
vary from seven to twelve nights. The Sea Queen
has Nitrox. |

large sun deck. You'll love viewing
the Maldives sunsets from one of these vantage
points.

ARK ROYAL - CARPE DIEM - ORION |
|
The
Ark Royal, the
Carpe Diem and the
Orion
rank amongst our preferred liveaboards in
the super luxury field which has grown popular
in the Maldives in recent times.
V irtually floating resorts,
these vessels provide nearly all the amenities
you would find at a land resort, plus diving
that only a liveaboard can offer.
If you are interested in one of these boats, it
is important to talk with us about your diving
preferences. On certain cruises, roughly
1/2 the guests are
divers & 1/2 are not. So, while you will experience
a glorious tour of the Maldives on a
top-notch luxury vessel, with some good
diving along the way, these trips are not
necessarily
dedicated dive cruises.
It's a lovely way to go, in particular for
divers with non-diving partners, or for groups
which include novice or non-divers. You get the best of
both worlds - and an exquisite vacation!
If a truly dedicated dive cruise is what you're
seeking, we need to know that in advance to
ensure that you are on a trip with like-minded
individuals. |
|
The Ark
Royal,
launched in 2008, is a 115-feet luxury cruiser

technologies: flat-screen TV,
DVD and CD player, a private bar & refrigerator, an electronic
safe & telephones - plus you can stay in touch with the
rest of the world with the on-board wi-fi
system.
There's a topside deck with bar service, for sun worshippers, plus
2 decks on the bow and 2 at the stern,
a
telescope for stargazers, plus steam bath
& masseuse.
The
restaurant offers indoor dining and fully-stocked drinks bar, a tastefully-decorated
lounge with lots of room to relax, and an
extensive library, including video and music
collections.
The
Ark Royal
concentrates on Central Maldives diving -
North & South Male & Ari Atoll,
but from time to time adds a
special tour covering the
southernmost atolls of the
Maldives, Huvadhoo and Addu,

reefs & channels with abundant
